RAD Registered Teachers

RAD registered teachers have undergone rigorous dance education training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for teaching dance. Being part of an organisation that prioritises public protection and aims to empower people through dance is a source of pride. In their role, they strongly believe in the principle that dance education should be accessible to individuals of all ages, levels, and abilities. It's their commitment to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to experience the joy of dance and tap into their potential.

Additionally, RAD registered teachers are members of a professional body that collaborates with legislative, regulatory, and parliamentary bodies, including the Department for Education, as well as organisations like One Dance UKNSPCC and Safer Dance. This collaboration is aimed at the ongoing enhancement of standards in dance teaching, showcasing their commitment to ensuring the highest quality in dance education.

To remain a member of the RAD Registered Teachers, they are required to:

  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure they remain at the cutting edge of dance education and training.

  • Possess a university-validated RAD award or qualify through a recognized RAD route (explore the currently available programs/routes).

  • Abide by the Code of Conduct, which establishes conduct standards and outlines disciplinary procedures to safeguard both themselves and the individuals utilizing their schools.
